Doorway is an independent charity working in Warwickshire, enabling young homeless people aged 16 – 25 to secure and maintain appropriate accommodation through prevention, crisis intervention and tenancy sustainment.
Since 1997 Doorway has provided accommodation and support for young people who are either homeless or vulnerable. We work in wards which are the most deprived in Warwickshire and within the top 10% in the country. Preventing homelessness is very important to us and we explore all options to ensure that young people are appropriately housed.
We provide both shared and self-
Our services are open to all young people and those we work with come from a variety of backgrounds. They may have escaped domestic violence, parents relocating, parents not accepting their child's sexuality and seeking independence. All are socially excluded and need our support.
Doorway provides the practical and emotional support that enables young people to gain the skills and confidence they need to rebuild their lives. We work with young people to the point where they no longer need us.
